I have problems tuning DVB-S2 channels on Thor 0,8. I have a Conax v4.00e CA module and a working canaldigital card with subscription for everything. HDTV works fine in their own box, as in DVBviewer. All other paychannels and free channels work. I tried various settings for modulation etc. and found I'm almost there when choosing EDIT: 8psk - Pilot On - Rolloff 0.35.

Anyone? Am I just missing a stupid little thing? Anything I can do to make it easier to help me? I am really lost - I love MP and I have always recommended it to anyone. Not being able to tune DVB-S2 for the last 10 days is wearing out my WAF (Because of the streaming to the bedroom she needs to fall asleep to)

Funny thing is, I am able to tune just fine in DVBviewer - but I dont wanna leave mp

Bumping this - I tried everything I could think of. All regular channels, scrambled or not works perfectly. But no S2 channels. Card doesnt pick them up when scanning nor when entered manually. Is this really not fixable in some way?

Try latest SVN of TV-Server. It has user configurable timeout values for decrypting and timeshift buffer and some improvements when no video/no audio detected

This WAS the latest svn, just downloaded yesterday. I did try to increase time to 20 seconds for it to pick up the audio/video. Still no go. Should I try to increase time further or do you have other suggestions, please?

I'm afraid S2 support is only available for hauppage and FireDTV not for Azurewave/Twinhan DVB-S2 CI, you did enable the S2 settings in TV-Server management console?

In TV-Server management console I read: Pilot and Roll-off settings for DVB-S2 tuning (FireDTV and Hauppauge only)

Yes sir i did - I also tried without, just to make sure. In my log you would also see that I enabled pilot and roll-off manually:

Those settings are known to work in other programs, and if this tells anything, then it seems like the tuner is locked correct on channel:

Thanks for suggesting, though I'm still unable to see DVB-S2




EDIT: Forgot to mention, that first time I enter channel details manually in tvserver, it somehow changes fields for the values next time I look. For example, when I enter 513 as video stream and 645 for audio stream, save and close, the next time I look those values have switched fields, so that video gets 645 and audio 513? It also happens to modulation type - when I say 8psk next time it is 16qam?

After a couple of times of re-entering, settings seem to stick though in the log it still says "Mod8Vsb" - dunno if thats correct?

This was with a first time install of every part of tvservice, including MS MySQL2005.

Sorry, I'm out of suggestions. I'm afraid it's due to the fact that your card isn't supported and it's DBA driver use a slightly different way to receive the streams. I'm not a programmer in this kind a things so I can't tell much about this.

For your settings to stick, I would check in the database-table with the management console to see if the settings are commited right.
