Cannot play DVDs on MyDVD - need help (1 Viewer)

Just installed the latest version of mediaportal today, hopefully i installed all the proper, however i think i missed something important because I cannot launch and play DVDs from the Play DVD menu option, the screen just goes black until i eject the disc from the try, any thoughts suggestions?

what output resolution are you using? I was having trouble playing at anything greater than 480p becuase my system wouldn't allow it for copyrighted dvds

try different codecs. There is a known issue with DVD replay.

Currently I am successfully using the Nero Codec (which came with my DVD drive). Or do you have the Cyberlink codec?

I think I am playing the Cyberlink codec, where can i find a copy of the Nero DVD codec?

Also I'm not entirely sure what my output resolution, is that a setting in the videocard?

I'm playing on a HP home theater PC unit with an NVIDIA video card.

Idon' know where to find Nero - as said: Nero came with my DVD drive.
