Hey all, I'm having problems playing videos in RC3. I had no problem with RC2, but now that the only choice I have is vmr9 it doesn't seem to work. Looking at the error log in the media portal log folder I get the following message:
4/15/2006 11:41:04 AM VideoPlayer9:exception while creating DShow graph Creating an instance of the COM component with CLSID {51B4ABF3-748F-4E3B-A276-C828330E926A} from the IClassFactory failed due to the following error: 80040273. at MediaPortal.Player.VMR9Util.AddVMR9(IGraphBuilder graphBuilder)
at MediaPortal.Player.VideoPlayerVMR9.GetInterfaces()

Looking it up on google isn't helping me understand it any better, so I thought I might try and ask for help here. I used the utility from the forum to gather my system stats:
MediaPortal Skin: BlueTwo
Windows Version: Windows XP (SP2)
.NET CLR Version: 2.0.50727

    This might be the cause of your issue - I am not familiar with this video controller, but I recall reading other threads about its lack of DirectX 9 and VMR9 support. You might want to do a search in these forums to see what others have said?

    that did the trick

    Yup, that was it. I had an old 5200 laying around that I stuck in it, and it worked without a hitch.

    Thanks,
