Cannot playback recording or live tv on remote client (1 Viewer)

Hi

I cannot play recording or stream live tv on remote client. If have disabled all firewalls and set streaming port to 554 on Tv server, but no matter what the remote client will not play recordings or live Tv.

I have tryed copy the recorded files to MyMovies and playing them from movies plugin. That will work.

I get this in errorlog when trying to stream live Tv:

2010-03-01 21:32:44.384526 [ERROR][MPMain(1)]: TSReaderPlayer:GetInterfaces() failed

When trying to watch recordings I get almost similar error:

Any ideas?

Do you see any streaming server clients in the streaming server tab of the tv server configuration?
If not try to stop/start the tv service again, once in a while it doesnt load the streaming server on my vista machine and I have the same problem. Stopping starting always helps for me.

Hi,

Are you sure the TsReader.ax file is registered

Try opening a command prompt and change directory to the MediaPortal application directory

cd \Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal

(at least this path works for me)

and then

regsvr32 TsReader.ax

If this helps, there may be other .ax files that are not registered.

Thank you very much for your reply. It actually helped

elliottmc: Thanx to you too but as you can see stopping and starting the Tv server solved my problem.

Then the next thing for Team Mediaportal is to correct the issue that streaming server doesnt get loaded :-D

It seem that its difficult for the TV server recovering from a standby. Everytime the server wakes up I cannot watch recordings og live Tv from remote client and have to restart the TV server service.

Anyone how knows what the problem?
