Synopsis::

- Schedule a recording for let's say 18:00 hours until 18:10 hours
- recording starts at 18:00 hours correctly
- at some point between 18:00 and 18:10 enter the recording view, select the entry for your recording and click it to play

-> recording does not play. Expected behaviour: play the recording while recording continues in the background until scheduled end.

When mp is still recording and you want to watch this recording, go to the Timer section, select the recording and push F9 (or right mouse click) to show the context menu. Select play recording from the beginning.

thanks, will try that. But this behaviour should be implemented in the "records" view, too. Or, alternative, hide the entry from the records view until the record is finished.

I second that, "start recording from the beginning" should just be the default behaviour here, so when you select a recording that's in progress it just starts playing.

When a recording is in progress it isn't shown in the recordings section on my setup.

A simpler method - at least in my opinion - is to use the tv guide, if you select the show being recorded, you will get a pop up asking if you want to watch the show from the beggining or from the live point, select from the beginning and robert is, as they say, your mothers brother..
