Hi
MediaPortal had been working well for my Duel tuner Hauppauge card for a couple of years.
However, today I ran of space on drive C while MediaPortal was recording. I moved and deleted files to free up some space on C drive. However, I cannot start the TV. A message comes up saying “unknown error occurred” I have Windows XP and tried to paste the address C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\bin into the black box as a command as https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/tv-suddenly-doesnt-start-anymore.93197/ may be indicating. After clicking start and then run I typed “cmd” and pasted
C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\bin
into the window but the command was not recognized.
I tried another method which https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/tv-suddenly-doesnt-start-anymore.93197/ may be indicating. In the search window after clicking “start” and “run” I also tried entering C:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.1\bin instead cmd and the folder came up. I am not sure where to enter the code. Are there step by step instructions for this possibly with screen shots of the windows where to enter it?
I also tried completely uninstalling MediaPortal and reinstalling it again. However, now during the scan for channels there is “no signal”
Oddly before doing the scan the TV channels I scanned in before were listed in the TV EPG grabber. This is strange as I completely uninstalled the software and cleaned everything and reinstalled it again so I would not expect to see these listed. Perhaps it did not uninstall properly. I tried a complete uninstall and reinstall before for a similar problem and it solved the problem. However, it does not work this time.
Your help would be appreciated
Regards Richard.
