Hi,

First, I want to thank Aaron for the great work.

I'm using MP 0.2.3.0 (no SVN) with the lastest replacement plugin (from 18/12/07). I have no problem learing my remote controls codes using the configuration, testing them and assigning them to MCE remote buttons.
However, when running MP, I can blast only once after which no blasting takes place until I restart MP. I tried browsing MediaPortal.log but it does not reveal anything helpful. Notice, that I have no problem blasting several consequtive times in the config mode.

I have tried it with the "original" driver, and I also tried it with the driver tweak in the registry as described in the Replacement Driver RIP thread.

Any help will be very appreciated.

Hmmm, that's an odd problem you have there...

I'll hopefully be releasing a new version within a week or so, maybe it will fix itself, but let's take a look anyway.

Can you reply with the mediaportal.log file from an attempt, and also the MicrosoftMceTransceiver_Driver*.log file?

This will at least narrow down the things it isn't... if that makes sense.

    Cheers,

    Thnx for the prompt response.

MicrosoftMceTransceiver_Driver*.log should be in the root directory of your system drive, and the mediaportal.log is in the Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Log folder.

Still can't find the MicrosoftMceTransceiver_Driver*.log files. I even run a search for them on My Computer and found nothing (mybe this is a part of the problem?)

    MediaPortal.log is attached.

Installed this version and tried - exactly the same. Shall I give some of the older versions a try?

ok, I think I see the problem. It looks like you're using old .IR files that were learned with the MceIr.dll method.

There are a couple of possible solutions ...

    1. Re-Learn the IR files you are trying to blast, this will re-create them in Pronto format and they will be more accurate because A) they will use the correct learning receiver, and B) they will contain carrier frequency information.

    2. I need to change my .IR loading procedure to remove excessively long pause times like those found in the old .IR files you seem to be blasting...

I should probably do number 2 anyway, but if you want a quick fix, try 1.

    Cheers,
