I have installed a TV server on my machine but I'm unable to connect to it from a computer on my network.
However if I install media portal on the same machine it's working.

I have checked than my windows firewall was off and than the sql database was accepting connection from "local and remote connection) with both tcp/ip and named pipes (I have installed MySQL express provided with the tv server installation)

Url used to connection on the server to run tv server configuration is : 192.168.1.254\SQLEXPRESS
The ip set in the config of the server is : 192.168.1.254

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Beside I got a noob question, if I want to watch TV from 2 computers at the same time, do I need 2 card?

Ho well managed to solve my connection problem.

But on remote computer media portal crash every time I try to watch a channel.
And on the local one (the one with the server installed on it), I can only watch uncrypted channel, otherwise I'm getting an channel is scrambled....

Is there something to do for crypted channed?

I love how people don't bother to post how they solved the problem they were having, but they do make the effort to tell people that they solved it.

Drives me nuts!

I put de dvdFix patch mentioned in the help guide.
Upgrading to the last version of directx 9 solved some of my problems later on too.
