After doing a clean install from 0.2.3 to 1.0 RC3, I'm no longer capable to fastforward or rewind as before. At 2x or higher picture just freezes and after I press play it resumes again but now a few seconds ahead (like it has been fast forwarding:confused:). Same thing for recorded TV an my videos. Somethimes at 2x I can hear audio, very speed up, I think it's called "chipmunks". Any idea what could be the problem. I ran filmerit and repaired a couple of problems, but nothing changed. Please help me, I'm quite desperate now

I´ve the same problem. I do have some funny sound output up to 8x, but the picture freezes during forwarding above 2x.
it is fast forwarding in the background - once you press play again, the movie resumes somewhere ahead.

    Same here.

There is another thread about this that suggests it relates to the update from XP SP2 to SP3, which could be true for my case. What about you guys?

Update to .net3.5 and try EVR as video renderer, under mpconfig (expert mode) directshow filters, make sure you have the latest directx.

I had the same problem which is why I was trying a work-around with an external player. I'm using XP with newly installed SP3, Direct X 9.0c. Rewinding is odd and Fast Forward is non existent except for sound playing faster. I'd like to use the interal player if I can have Rewind/FastForward working.
