Can't get EPG working in TV server plugin (1 Viewer)

Hi,
I've been using MP for about 2 days now with the StreamedMP plugin and TV server.

Not sure if i've missed something daft but i do not get any epg data loaded.
I checked the enabling of epg in tv server config?

Can someone give me some pointers please?

Im using a hauppage nova-hd dvb-s card in the uk via xp pro sp3.

Hi Byngo,

have a look in the TV-server config - manual control - mark DVBs and refresh dvb EPG.
I had the same problem and this helped me to get initial dvb EPG data.

I tried the above but no joy. It said the EPG grabber would restart shortly and it seemd to do that defaulting to channel4 +1 in the information pane.
I went through the config in TVserver, made sure i had the epg enabled and check boxes against the channels i wanted the epg for but the guide just keps saying "no Information" on any of the channels.

I'm having exactly the same problem. I installed MediaPortal this morning just to see what all the fuss was about, I have been using Wiindows Media Center for about 2 years. But it seems I can't even get it to do something as simple as grab the EPG data.

I go into the TV Server Config, then to Manual Control and press Refresh DVB EPG but all that happens is next to my Dvb T card entry it says status Grabbing EPG and under Name it says ITV1 but then it just sits there and nothing happens, I've left it for about 2 hours so far and still nothing.

the following file may give you a clue of what went wrong : tvserver_epg.log

you can get this file by running the MP log collector wizard
start - all programms - team MP - MP - .....

My workmate here said that you must also make sure you choose your language to get the FTA guide data coming in.
