Hi everyone, Im new in this forum. :)

tow months ago I installed mediaportal in my computer (40 GB, 512 RAM, pentium 4)
successfully and it worked great. yesterday I tried to install MP on an older pc that I formated and installed win xp in. the installation was fine, it was installed correctly, but when I tried to run it (after basic configuration),
the window opened but in the window there was nothing...
only what behind the window... I tried to update the drivers and media player and ever reinstalled it,
but it didn't work...

what should I do? I really like this software...
:(

Is the Graphics Card DirectX 9 capable?
Have you checked all hardware requierements?

Do the research... Open System/device manager and look at the graphics card details. Or, RIGHT click on the desktop, properties, display tab and find the display driver. If it's on a system you have that is OLDER than the one with a 40GB drive, I'd say it is not able to run MP.

okay. I check and it's not so old graphics card, and it runs direct x 9.0c...
when I try to run other media-centers on this pc, it works fine, but I still rather MP
so if someone know this problem...

    thanks!

You said it runs directx9, do you have DirectX installed or you just found the card is capable? if you need to find what DirectX version you have installed go to start->run and type dxdiag. that should tell you your current version, if it is up to date you may as well test it while your their, make sure it isn't broken.
