cant get music to work properly (1 Viewer)

i'd like to use music under mediaportal, have installed the latest versions and elected to use the default options, however when going into music and playing it, it doesnt seem to display a background image depending on whos playing. i have to manually click on "now playing" which kind of defeats the object.

what am i doing wrong?
