Can't install MP 1.0.0 (1 Viewer)

Problem:
If you try to install MediaPortal v1.0.0 (or other versions), you're getting...

Solution:
Download 7Zip & extract Run package-mediaportal and install. Make sure you installed the other required software first...
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package
Windows Media Player 11
etc...

This is pretty much can be the offline install.

Even tried the 1.0.0 RC1/RC2. Even tried it on a different PC with different a ISP. Both Windows XP pro fully updated. Also disabled antivirus & firewall.

Not working with 1.0.0 only.

Eh... I think you have misunderstood.

DL your preferred MP version here: Browse MediaPortal Files on SourceForge.net

I do recommend 1.0.2 over 1.0.0

I downloaded all of them, and all of them installed except MediaPortal_1.0_Setup.exe which is giving me this error...

1.0.2 is better but it got a bug, when I chose mpc-hc as an external player and launch a movie with movingpcitures, it also tries to launch the internal player. In 1.0.0, it doesn't have this problem.

Back in January I manage to install 1.0.0 without any problems.

Well, presumably you will already have all the other required software installed, so you can try to extract the separate mediaportal and tvserver exe installation files from MediaPortal_1.0_Setup.exe.

7zip should be able to do that.

It worked! I just run "package-mediaportal" and it installed without connecting to the net.
