On Music configuration, when I scan my shares to add MP3 to the database, MediaPortal can't retrieve coverart from MP3 Tag, although I've selected "Use coverart embedded in MP3s for thumnails"...
I don't know if I can post here one of my MP3 (may be that's the problem)... I use "Helium Music Manager 2005" to edit tags and to add front coverts to each file in an Album.
Thank you very much for your support...
Edit: Ok... Found some info in configuration.log... I've get this error in every one of my MP3:
2007-08-05 18:18:18.531250 [Debug][Config Main]: Could not extract Image: Error genérico en GDI+.
2007-08-05 18:18:18.531250 [Warn.][Config Main]: TagReader: Image probably corrupted: J:\MP3\Full_Albums\Alanis Morissette - Under Rug Swept\01 - Alanis Morissette - 21 Things I Want In A Lover.mp3
Could this help you a bit?
Edit: Ok! Found the problem... MediaPortal can't retrieve coverart in .bmp format inside the tag...
I don't use bmp at all (silly space wasting), but I use Helium to add .jpg cover to the tags, and I saw now that Helium add it in .bmp format when you select "add thumnail" option instead of full .jpg file...
Is there any chance you can solve this problem? Anyway I'll rebuild my tags with other tag manager in .jpg format for sure...
bye!
