Hi all,
First of all I would like to thank all media portal team for the tremendous job they are doing.
Recently I acquired a DVB-S card to add to my HTPC and at the same time I decided to switch from standalone MediaPortal to Tv server, as my satellite dish has a h-h motor installed.
The DVB-S card is Twinhan Azurewave AD-SP300(1034) Mantis chipset, supposingly should allow two tuners installed in the same PC. And I can confirm as the card is working (scanning channels) using Twinhan software - DigitalTV3.3.
When I try to use the card withing TV server I got nothing but complete fiasko - PLEASE HELP.
I discovered two problems:
1. In TV server Setup when I select the card (BDA driver) and try to scan I receive message saying something like that: " Can't scan. The card is Locked. Perhaps another part of the hybrid card is scaning"
I have no idea what does it mean and where to start troubleshooting the problem. Ok, I have another hybrid card in the same PC and as I aware old 1034 (Conexant chipset) cards had the incompatibility issues with other analog tuners, I pulled the hybrid card out, reinstalled TV server and tried to scan again - the same message. the card is locked.
Obviously this problem kills the whole idea of having total (DVB-T and DVB-S) solution in one TV Server. So please give me some ideas on what I can do in order to fix the problem. As I am fairly new to the HTPCs and MediaPortal, please give me a bit more detailed instructions.
Just in case if it is relevant, I am using an Universal LNB 9750, 10600 MHZ.
2. Second pain is the h-h motor is not working. It is not working using neither DigitalTV or MediaPortal software. This is possible the card drivers issue, so please if anyone has any tips on how to get the motor moving under XP SP2 environment, let me know. I am using latest drivers for the card 1.0.5.9. Quite possible older drivers will do the trick, but I can't find them on a net. I also read somewhere that WDM drivers worked, is this the case?
Need to mention that the motor itself in a good working order as I can use it with my satellite STBs without any problems.
Thank you for reading.
