I had the same problem with Intervideo WinDVD codecs.

Cyberlink PowerDVD codecs with the standard DVD navigator (both options in the DVD section of MediaPortal configuration) fixed it for me.

I uninstalled WinDVD and installed PowerDVD. Although you should be able to have them both installed.

But now I use them together. Cyberlink for DVD and Intervideo for MyTV, although I'm going to try the Hauppauge decoder for MyTV, to get rid of some out-of-sync issues.

What you can try is to download GraphEdit and connect to the MediaPortal Graph when your playing a DVD. Look at the (directshow) filters that are used. You might want to create a screenshot of it, and post it here.

Have you tried to play the DVD in PowerDVD or WinDVD? Does the menu work then?
Maybe the issue isn't specificly MediaPortal related. Or the DVD menu might be broken?

Have you tried Overlay instead of VMR9, just to test?

I see that you are using 0.1.3.0, have you tried 2.0RC1 with the newest CVS? If you try the newest CVS, don't forget to run start.bat

The GraphEdit screenshot looks normal.

That's about all I can think off.

Does arrow left/right change anything?

Do you see a menu item selection, or just the normal DVD menu picture, without selections?

Do you have this problem with a specific DVD or with all DVDs?
