Can't set channels to "external" (1 Viewer)

So from what I've read to set up media portal with IRSS and a set top box, I add the channels manually and set them to external. Except I can't find the external option that people keep saying is there. I can get IRSS to change channels with the test button but I can't get it to change them with channels in mediaportal.

I'm running vista and the latest release version of mediaportal and IRSS, any help would be appreciated.

I think I found the fix for this buried in the 1.04.1 thread, I'll try it when I get home. It looks like a lot of other people are having the same problem, maybe someone should make a sticky for this?
