Hi All,

I'm trying (but not succeeding) in setting up MP to view and record both cable and HD TV. I have been trying for a few weeks without success. I have been reading the forums and manuals but have only gotten confused. These are my questions

1. Has anyone been able to get HD & Cable working where HDTV comes via the Anternna and Cable via the SVideo/Composite In on a Tuner Card.

2. Under TV Servers it only displays "Winfast DTV1000S BDA DVBT Tuner". There is no "Winfast DTV1000S BDA Analogue Capture". Is this correct? Should I have both and if so how do I get both displayed. I investigated capturecarddefinitions.xml but I think this only relates to MP and not the TV Server. I have been able to graphedit the analogue(no sound) and play it but can't work out the capture card definition. See attached.

3. I can see the HDTV fine but if I try and add a manual channel it says "Channel not mapped to a card". When I go into the TV Mapping the channel is not displayed so I can't map it.

4. Do I need to install an IR Blaster for this to work. At this stage I just want to preview the cable channel in MP before I progress down the EPG/Channel changing path.

Switch between both HDTV and Foxtel works fine in the software supplied and also I have been able to get it working in Got All Media but clearly MediaPortal is much better software.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Cheers

I have a similar problem (Done the same research as you, dont feel so stupid now) and would like an answer on this, anyone?

I am using a Nebula PCI card, similar setup to yours.
