Whenever i try to start Media Portal configuration i get the following error. Ive tried installing / uninstalling a couple of times, ive even tried to install the latest Nightly build, but doesnt seem to fix it. Ive tried to install additional codecs but no luck, since i saw that it had fixed some of the other users problems in here. I hope that you guys can help me, cause i really want it to work, thx in advance!

I have exact same issue on vista. won't start even after re-install?? media portal opens fine though?

turns out it was filters causing the problem. I used filmerit to repair them and it fixed it for me.
