I have a number of scheduled programs that record at the same time each day. If it is a re-run or something I don't want to record, I want to be able to just stop the recording. With version 1.0.2, I could not do that at all. Now with version 1.1, I can stop the recording, but apparently since it is a daily recording, TVServer sees that it needs to record and starts recording it again. Is there any way to just tell it to stop recording that program for that day, but still leave it in the schedule for the next day?

I believe if you go into the scheduled recordings section, highlight the schedule that's currently recording, then bring up the context menu, there are some options that you can use in there. From memory, there's a "Cancel this show" option (rather than deleting the whole schedule), and if you cancel the show and it's in the middle of recording, then it should actually stop the recording.

I'm assuming, for the time being, that you've been trying to stop the recording from the "My TV" page, which - as you rightly point out - seems to stop the recording for a second or two, but then TV-Server kicks it off again.

Cheers,
Craig

Craig,

Thank you, thank you! You were spot-on! I never thought to look in that area. I tried it tonight and it works like a champ. I appreciate you taking the time to help me out.

Take care.

:D

Well, I can't pass up another opportunity to suggest For The Record (FTR)... :D

The FTR TV plugin allows you to do what you requested: Looking at the TV Guide, if you see a recording in progress that you want to stop, just highlight the show, press the Info button on the remote (same as mouse right-click), and click Cancel this show, and you're done. The recording will not start up again.

Even better, the FTR scheduler can prevent repeats from being recorded at all. This is just one of its many benefits.
