I just installed MP last night to check it out as I'm going to be using MP in my HTPC which should be built by the end of the week. I'm having a problem watching any video though, I'll right click and click play on a video and it doesn't do anything. I can watch the same video on WMP10 without any problems and I can watch DVDs within MP no problems either.

Also, I'm having problems installing plugins. I've extracted them into the installation directory but they're not showing up in MP. :confused:

Anyone got any ideas?

I've tried changing the decoder, I'm currently using the nVidia Pure Video decoder but it's still doing the same thing. :(

    Hi,

    1) Hard to say...Anything in the logs? /Team Media Portal/MediaPortal/logs/
    Please attach one trying to play one file

    2) What installation dir? You have to extract them either to /Plugins/Windows/ or /Plugins/Process/ depending on the type of plugin.
    Also the plugins have to be enabled:
    Configure->Plugins->RighClick (If they show up....)

    Flip.

    Hi, thanks for your response Flip, I've managed to get FileExplorer working but still having problems with WebBrowser. Do you have to have Firefox installed to use WebBrowser?
    Also, could you tell me where to put all the files and folders for WebBrowser, which specific folders do they go in?

    I've attached the MediaPortal.log

    Thanks

    Hi,

    hmmm....seems as if MP as difficulties to switch to VMR9. Quite strange, because your graphics card should support it without problems. Try disabling Exclusive DirectX Mode:
    Configure->General->Exclusive DirectX Mode

    Sorry, I do not use the WebBrowser Plugin. You may open another support request with it as topic to attract other readers.....

    Flip.

    Hi,

    what codec do you use for AVI playback? (XviD, DivX, ffdshow, other?)

    It could be, that the codec does not support VMR9.
