Hi,

On a new system, I'd like to capture video signal that's not a TV-signal. So it's not modulated on a frequency, just plain video (scart or cinch plug) and audio.

Now I have a few questions
-If my computer doesn't have a video-in, which card could I best use?
-Can Media Portal capture this like a TV signal? Can I select this video-in-card as a source for TV? I'll record it manually (or create manually a xmltv file).

Hopefully anyone can help me...

Kind regards
Michiel

there are some specialised cards for this purpose, but probably the best option is a simple Huappuage pvr 150. they're cheap, have hardware encoding for the analog system and you also get the bonus of TV tuner as well...
MP has ability to manage the AV input on the card as well as change channels on your STB or whatever, as long as you have some hardware for that too...
