Ah sorry I should have been clearer with my requirements.I only have Sky because I thought there was no Freeview in my area but it turns out you can pick it up so I'm about to cancel. As such capturing output from the box is not an ongoing, it's a one time thing for migrating content I've already recorded (about sixty SD programmes from CBeebies). My failure with the Archos DVR got me wondering whether there's any copy protection going on that would defeat all consumer kit or whether it's just me not doing it right.The other solution is to wait for the inevitable repeats and make a new recording using DVB-T2
