I know this is probably asked a ton but I am just dealing with serious information overload.
I am looking for a card that will allow me to record off of cable. I am not worried about using any sort of antenna. I would like to be able to record something while I watch something else. I currently have analog cable but I plan on upgrading to digital/HD soon.
Do I need to get a card from my cable company to record all the cable channels? I just have so many acronyms in my head right now I don't know what I need.
I have looked through tons of pages of this forums and it hasn't helped clear things up. I don't mind researching, but I don't know what things a card has to have to be compliant with what I specified above. Any help would be great.
