Hi all, since installing stable release of MP I can no longer play audio cds (in any application). I've even re-installed windows; same problem. The cd starts to play for maybe 2 seconds then silence) once it crashes all audio is dead (wav, midi, everything) until I re-start the computer.

Winfast mobo
XP 2800 cpu
AC97 audio
XP professional SP2
all latest drivers
MP release 2, stable patch

I'm starting to think it's the MPA codec that's screwed it up?

Any ideas?

The MPA codec is a mpeg2 codec so it wouldnt be used for any of those formats. You should grab graphedit and try and render one of those formats and see what the offender is.

OK fixed it now, removed Nero7! (system restore). All ok again, now if I could find a way to install Nero without all the codecs....
