Hi, my daily webepg/xmltv update got no data from radiotimes but did from digiguide. Can someone check the radiotimes setup please? No changes on my setup at all. MP102

Using XMLTV GUI I cannot get any data from the Radio Times service.

Example of the error XMLTV GUI gives me:
20:42:00 - Radio Times returned a zero sized reply for channel Film4

Something is up with it, all channels are returning.....

Instead of the program details.


Let's hope they haven't decided to withdraw the service.

everything back the next day, but with a small change: letters with accents are not handled in the same way as before. For é we now get a@~ or somesuch. MP is picking up what's in the xml file so it seems that webepg/xmltv isn't able to translate the characters correctly from radiotimes. I wonder if this is different in MP 1.1 ?? Also noticed that BBC3/BBC4 (who don't transmit during the daytime) now shows "close" whereas previously they would show "data not available" during the hours they don't transmit.

Mine doesn't work. No channels can be downloaded. I tried the whole list!



XMLTV GUI is old and trying to switch to the regular XMLTV program from sourceforge. In the latest changelog...

Major updates:
   tv_grab_uk_rt hundreds of changes, upgrade strongly recommended

But I can't make it work. It can't be that hard...

USAGE
    First run tv_grab_uk_rt --configure to choose which channels you want to
    receive listings for. Then run tv_grab_uk_rt with no arguments to get
    around 14 days of listings for your configured channels.

Right... So where does it output the XML file? If you do what it says you get no XML. So I run "xmltv tv_grab_uk_rt --output data.xml" and I still get no listings. All I get inside the XML file is...

can't wee why xmltv needed if writing to TV Server Database in MP1.1. I've reconfigured webepg to get data from digiguide and seems to work fine. something happened to radiotimes .....

ya, well take a look at this... http://xmltv.radiotimes.com/xmltv/92.dat

It is the TV listings for "BBC 1". At time of writing it is almost empty. Just the 1 line: "In accessing this XML feed, you agree that...". Would explain why the downloaders no longer work.

Ah well, time to send an email to radio.times@bbc.co.uk and see what comes back...

I've setup WebEPG in the mean time, but its missing quite a few current Freeview channels...
