Changing a skin kills external player (MPC-HC) (1 Viewer)

Hi

Spent the better part of a few weeks trying to figure this out. In the process, I have tried MP 1.02 and 1.1 including disaster's builds.

The issue:
- I can play h264 content with the internal player using MPC-HC video filters without any issues
- When I change to using MPC-HC as an external player using the same filters and the default skin, no issues

however,

as soon as I change the skin (tried beasle / mediastream etc), MPC-HC no longer works. The play icon stays on but for some reason the file does not play. The player itself does not crash and I can still exit the player. Ideas please?

Updated to this..still not worked out the cause but..

Having MPC-HC using VMR9 seems to be the root of the problem. Using EVR under XP seems to be fine with different skins.
