Hello Everyone,
I am new to MediaPortal and have been comparing it to GBPVR. I must say that MediaPortal is much more user friendly and a much better media center. GBPVR does have some great advantages such as automatic inclusion of comskip (MediaPortal has a plugin but no on the fly commercial skipping). I imagine this will be included soon so I am not to worried. Both programs are a little slow at times, but I am upgrading my computer this weekend so that should help, Core Duo T2600! 2GB DDR2 667, ASUS N4L-VM mobo.
The only major probelm I am currently having is that whenever I watch live TV if I enter channel 11 MediaPortal sends me to channel 12. Any ideas on why this happens? I suppose it is not too big a deal I can always enter the the channel I want minus one, except channel 2 (CBS) does not seem to work. I will play with it some more tonight to see if my recordings worked properly or if those are also coming up wrong.
Thanks!
