changing channels with timeshifting on (1 Viewer)

Here's my problem


I have .2rc2 a hauppauge pvr500 I was able to use xmltv to import the tv guide and channels. Whenever I have timeshifting turned on in my tv, it only recognizes the channel that's on when you go into my tv(it can be any channel) if you try to change the channel the channel number changes the TV Guide info changes but it stays on the same channel. If you disable timeshifting you can change all day long and everything works great.

I have all channels mapped to both cards

Never heard of that before.

You've posted your system specs, but you should also fill in the support template, there may be more info that we need.
The log files in this case are probably going to be very helpful here.

Close MP, Re-open it, turn on TV and try to change channels with TS on. Then close MP and look in the MP logs and the error log if there is one.

If you can't see anything useful there, post them here for us to go through.

As another thought, try setting your TS buffer to one minute and see if changing channels works but with a one minute delay. It's not supposed to wrok this way, but maybe something is broken in your set up.

Synopsis::

when timeshifting is enabled it will only play about 1 minute of whatever channel it's on when you enter MyTV If you change channels the tvguide information changes but it plays the first channel it was on when you enterMyTV if you disable time shifting you can change channels all day long

Looks like all temporary files (including timeshift) are written to your C:\ partition. Have you checked, that there's enough space on that drive ? I once had a similar problem caused by a full drive - Timeshifting stops when the drive is full. TV w/o timeshifting is possible cause there is no access (writing) to your harddisk. Maybe you should think about moving the timeshift-files to another partition (by moving the windows temp folders) or resizing your C:\ drive.

it's a 300GB last time I was testing I had over 260GB free I could try re-partitioning and putting the temp folder on the 2nd partition...not sure if that would help or not
