Synopsis::

I'm having a problem when i type in a channel number. Say i type in 15, it will take me to 16. Does that for all of them.

Also on channel 49, i dont have any audio, but when i switch my tv to cable (rather than the computer) i can hear it fine.

Any suggestions?

Hey,

I am not sure if you have the same issue as I do and I didn't investigate mine yet, but I think that when you type a number it actually switches to a channel with index equal to the number you enter, not the actual channel number.. I will try that tomorrow to see if I am on the money here..

Would be nice to get some info from power users or dev once in a while on topics like these...

Hi All,

I'm having the same problem. The channel numbers and the channel descriptions are matching up in the Program Guide....where else should this newbie be looking?

I'm using an Hauppage PVR-500 w/MCE remote. When I channel up or down, the number and description are correct. But if punch in the number on the remote, it's one off (upwards).

If put in 55, which should take me to TBS, the display shows 55 (56 BET) and goes to BET. BET and TBS are two cable channels in my line up. It would seem this is a remote issue, but I can't find a place to make an adjustment.

Thanks,
BC

I still didn't have time to check this, but I suspect that if you press 1 on your remote, you will get the first channel in your list (guide), not the actual channel one.. And so forth.. Will try to confirm this soon..

In the meantime, MP developers, is this the behavior?

If this is true, then you'd add channel one (in my case) but remove it from the "assigned" channels? Interesting....I look forward to hearing back from your test, I'll try it as well.

Ok confirmed this. When i went to 15, it took me to 16. Was missing channel 1 on my guide, added it and now it works fine. Just uncheck the box so it wont show up in your tv guide.

Cool.. I guess someone in dev uses a simple array index instead of a channel number property of a channel class.. I wonder what happens when you add only few channels to a group with indexes like [40, 42, 55, 58, 59] and then try to go to channel 55.. I guess in this case nothing will happen.. And adding so many dummy channels to each group would suck.. So, developers ignore this issue, I guess? :)

My channels to up to 78ish then skip to 97 -99. When i type in 99 it does nothing. I'm not going to add 79-96 by hand, that would take to long, dont use those channels anyway.
