channel name in EPG (1 Viewer)

IN my EPG, which I'm getting using XMLTV, i only see the channel name (IE: 2, 3, 4, ... 13, etc.) but I would like to see the channel name as well (IE: CBS, NBC, WNET, etc.) can someone tell me how i can go about setting this up?

i am not looking for the channel logo, just the name.

I'm in US, new jersey, cable provider is cablevision.

after trying to setup my stb, i realized that i can edit a channel and i changed it there. I edited each channel to call it what i want..
