Channel numbers? (1 Viewer)

Greetings,

I'm using the TV-server, and I would like to assign a channel number to the channels, in order to be able to select it with keyboard/remote by simply typing the number (as with every TV remote).
I found a "channel number" in the channel configuration, but I'm not sure if it is what I'm looking for - and in any case, apparently typing numbers within MyTV does not seem to do anything. What am I doing wrong?

In MP configuration, television item, look for the Channel Numbers section.

"Select Channel Number by index (non-U.S.) should be CHECKED in most placed outside the U.S. where channels are just 1, 2, 3, 4, 5... If you are in the U.S., CLEAR this checkbox.

If you type in a number that doesn't match a channel number (or index), then MP acts like nothing happens.


Can't give you much more help right now, since I don't know where you are at, tuner type / set-top box, etc.
