I have been using MCE for quite some time and was a happy man, but after looking into MP and all it cool features I’m sold :)

But before I’ll make the switch there is one thing that bugs me and that is the delay between changing channels. Is this a normal behavior for MP?

Can someone please shed some light on this?

TIA
Flemming

You didnt specify the TV card type, but usually DVB cards take a bit longer to change channels while analogue cards are faster. Timeshifting also delays zapping.

That being said zapping is slower in MP vs MCE in my experience, but since i have a complete EPG i rarely change channels, so it never really bothered me that much :)

How long does it take to change channel for you?

My tv card type is analogue and it takes 4-5 seconds to change channels. You are right about timeshifting delays zapping.

Without timeshifting, zapping between channels are much faster :)

Don't forget the Zap delay setting in the Setup program. General>OSD

I set mine to 1s or 0s. It helped out a lot. :)
