I like the look and feel of Mediaportal very much.
    Especially the tv-modul.

But in this view I just can ff/rw but cannot use the channel up/down buttons of my remote. In this view they are without function.

It would be nice being able to use them in this view ,too.

If you scroll down to Programm (Or Channel for those of us with an English setup), you can then go left and right to change the channel up/down! :D

    @ Khris,

that's the way it works right now.
But it would be handy when the channel up/down buttons (F7/F8 ) on my remote would work in this screen too, like they do in fullscreen.

    @ FlipGer,

    i've got the Q-Sonic 6in1 remote.
    But i don't think it's a remote problem.
It even doesn't work with my keyboard F7/F8.
    It only woks in fullscreen.

And you say F7/F8 works for you in the tv-modul? The screen i posted above?
I'm using the 0.1.3 final, which version do you use.

    Regards
    Ralph

It's not a problem, it's how and what actions are being mapped in the code. The Hauppauge remotes already support this feature, the MCE remotes are the next ones. Others might follow. Remotes which are not implemented in MP most likely can't use this feature. That's your problem, I guess...

    Hi mPod,

what do you mean by that?
You say it works fine with a hauppauge remote but doesn't with a keyboard and the keys F7/F8?

I'm using Girder and mapped F7/F8 to my channel up/down buttons on my remote.

What I understand now, means that in this case the keyboard commands F7/F8 will be ignored and only the signals from the hauppauge remote will be recognized.
    Is this what you mean?
And if so, couldn't it be changed to work with the keyboard commands F7/F8 and then it would even work with Girder, too?

That's all I'm asking for. I don't want an implementation of X10 remotes (though there is a plugin available).
I'm just wondering why the keys F7/F8 don't work?

    Regards
    Ralph

That's what I said, yes. It's because the Hauppauge remote code inside MP's core sends actions, not keystrokes.

Don't worry, this will surely be changed. But there are so many things on the current list, so that you probably have to wait a bit until it's being implemented.

I hope it's not at the buttom of the list?
By the way, where can we see this Prio-List?
It would help not to post requests, when we would know, that it is already on the To-Do-List.

Do the Num-keys also work for the hauppauge remote, to be able to jump directly
    to a specific channel number?
    This should work, too.

    Regards
    Ralph
