Is it just me or is channel zapping improved like hell in the last SVN's

Channel zapping (without TS) is +/- 0.1 sec, almost not timeable anymore, hence it is like zapping on the normal TV.

BIG THUMS UP for the DEV's

It feels so good

I agree, huge improvment. Super! And it seems the "Lost signal" problem is getting closer to being solved.

In my case it is very fast between two channels on the same MUX (DVB-T) but changing MUX seems to matter, it takes some 2-3 seconds instead of 0.1 (or so fast it can get!). Is it at all possible to solve that? Or is it something I have to live with?

as it is done now, you gets the video as soon as your tuner gets a signal, so that we just cannot do better than that.
the time it takes depends on the time that tuner needs to be tuned and locked.

There are big differences between different tuner cards. For example Nebula seems to be about twice as fast as Nova-T to tune to new frequency (mux).

I checked with my old digial box as well and it seems to have the same response time, ie it is slightly slower than MP when changing whitin the MUX and about the same time across MUXes. So my cards might causing it to be slower, but it is at least faster than before.

Soo, to sum up, MP seems to be as fast as can be. Great job! This is really a great application!

So what zapping times are we talking about?

I have a TT budget 1500-C, it takes 3 secs to change a channel, I would like faster switching.

My colleague has Nova-S, Ihe claims it takes 30sec to to change channel. Might he be using an old release? (Though I thought we have downloaded 02.RC4 and a SVN from somewhere around the 18th of June)

(As we both relie on these cards for Premiere paytv it is not so easy to go with another tuner-card)
