Channels coming in very weak (1 Viewer)

Windows Version: XP sp2
Video Card: ATI X1600
1. TV Card: ATI Theater 550 pro



Media Portal has detected most of the channels from my cable line but every single one comes in fuzzy and the sound cuts in and out with lots of white noise. How can i troubleshoot this problem?

I lost the cd that came with the card. I will try to find a place to download it now, I really didnt even think of that... Its funny how things can slip your mind when you are trying to fix a problem.

Ok I checked to see if I have the same problem with the software that came with the card and I do. What is the next step? Is it time to call ATI and ask what the problem is?

Perhaps its a problem with your cable line itself?

Do you have a tv that you can connect directly to see if it is the card or cable?

If I connect my tv the signal is very strong and I get every channel. I also get this problem in my dorm and in my home so from two different cable lines.

Thats what it seems like, I'll have to send it to MSI and get a replacement. I just don't want it to happen again when they send me a new one....
