I can also record programs when using DVB-T, but may or may not be recording them with sound, not sure if it's a sound capture or sound playback problem.Anyway, I want to give MediaPortal a try, but before installing it I would like suggestions as to what codecs etc I need to make available to it to ensure no repeat of the frustration I have had with PowerCinema and WinTV7. I've got more codecs installed than you can shake a stick at, but what I would like to see is a list showing the combination of the codecs from someone who has successfully recorded both sound and picture (and played them back!) when using DVB-T and MediaPortal or WinTV7. Are there any other preliminaries that should be complete to ensure successful install? Many thanks, sorry for being so long winded.
