So i updated to the latest version of mediaportal, and noticed that during video playback TV screen (CRT), doesnt update all at once
- i mean, its like when i play back video in MPC without the directshow overlay , - its like the top third of the screen remains behind or something and you see it chopped up from the half bottom portion of the video for like a fraction of a second
- this is mostly noticeable when something in the video is moving side-to-side
i hope that makes sence to someone :p

    1. From what you write I can figure out if this is a MP problem or general
    2. You NEED to to fill out the template. I believe this is a refresh rate and/or codec problem, but hey - impossible to tell.

like i say, it looks like MP is using some sort of renderless display, not the overlay mixer...
is there anywhere to configure it to use windows overlay mixer, not the VMR7 or VMR9 things...?

MP doesn't support anymore the overlay. Try activating the Use Exclusive DirectX mode under configuration -> DirectShow fiter Control -> Video Mixing Renderer 9 Settings -> use VMR 9 Exclusive mode

well when using VMR 9 Exclusive switching aspect ratio does not work in Normal or Stretch, only with Original :(
