Hi there folks.
Ive just installed MediaPortal.

I have a cinergy 400 card.
Does Media Portal support Cinergy 400 or is it a to old card?.

I can see my cinergy card in the cardlist in the server configuration, but when i hit the search for channels button server setup does crash.
Any ideas what i should do?

Next i have Satellite TV from Viasat is it possible to connect that box to my pc like i do to the tv and watch tv in Media Portal(Could be the reason i cant see anything if this is not possible).

I read about this topic in another post.
I tryed to use the watchdog(Does it work when i dont turn on MP) i didnt turn on MP as its the server configurator that make the trouble.

I came across your messages on the forum.
As far as I know a Terratec Sinergy 400 card is a card to watch analog cable or old fashioned airial antenna TV, for short: analog TV.

Most Satellite broadcast are done in DVB-S or DVB-S2 standard (DVB stands for digital video broadcasting and S stands for Satellite)
Most digital terrestrial airial broadcasts are done in DVB-T (the T stands for Terrestrial)
Cable digital TV is done in DVB-C (C stands for cable)
