I searched the forums and there are several posts about dvb-c freezes, but none really hit my problem. So here we go:
I use the Terratec Cinergy HD. The card works perfectly in Window Mode (DVBViewer, Terratec HC) but freezes constantly in Fullscreen Mode (MP, DVBViewr, THC). You can not watch anything in Fullscreen (there are also audio lags that sound like they would destroy my audio equipment).
I also noticed that the lags start, when I increase the window size to nearly fullscreen (e.g. 1800x1000 on my TV). So I lowered the output resolution to about 1400x900 but fullscreen is still not watchable.
Sure this is not MP specific, but it seems like alot of veteran HTPC guys post in this forum
It can't be the CPU or memory, Taskmanager says that over 1GB of memory is free and CPU usage using the MPC code is about 10% (about 40% with FFDShow).
The cable itself should be OK too, cause the standalone receiver still works without problems when I hook it to the very same cable.
Any hint is GREATLY appreciated (I'm about to go nuts here).
Thanks!
