Win 7 x64
TVserver 1.11-1.2beta

All the free to view channels work fine, but all of the scrambled ones do not show up
Signal and bitrate looks fine.

I'm using the Cinergy CI module that came with the card and an original Conax CAM from Strong.
This is from C+, Norway.

When I access the CI menu in the TVserver configuration this is listed as empty.

Can anyone help med debug this problem ? It might be the CI interface or the CAM.
I will try the cam in a TV or another Tuner to verify that it is working asap.

thanks,
Vegard

    Hi Vegard

    Welcome to the forum. :)
The Cinergy CI might not support CI+. In any case, please post your logs. Use the "debug mode" shortcut in the MediaPortal folder in your start menu to zip up all your logs (option 3), and then post them here.

How do I produce all the necessary logs when I run a dedicated TV server.
The debug shortcut does not exist on these installations.

    regards,
    Vegard

In that case, if you're using Vista/7, zip up the contents of C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log and post it here. With XP the folder is C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log. Both of those are hidden folders so you'll have to enable viewing of hidden and system files, or paste the folder path directly into the address bar in Windows explorer.

    Hi again Vegard

Everything looks perfect. The tuner is initialised properly and the CAM is detected. When you tune the channel, the commands are sent to the CAM correctly and the CAM responds with a success message. In short everything looks perfect. The only problem is that the signal is still scrambled. That might indicate that the Cinergy CI does not support CI+.

Are you able to view the channels in any other software?

My recommendation is that you try the latest drivers from Terratec (if you're not already using them). If the channels still don't work then try the Terratec software (they seem to always refuse to provide any support unless you are using their software :rolleyes:). If the Terratec software also doesn't work then contact Terratec support. If the Terratec software works then let me know...

Yeah, I've tried both ProgDVB and Terratec's original software with no success.

I will try the CAM in a tuner now to see if I get it to work. I might have to pair the cam with
the card to get it to work as well. This should come up on the screen when I test with the set top box tuner.

Thanks for your assistance so far.

The issue is now solved, I needed to acquire a new card that needed to be paired with the Strong CAM.

Now onto getting faster channel surfin and the CI menu to work.

    regards,
    Vegard

    Hi again Vegard

    Thanks for reporting back. :D

Regarding the CI menu: you may want to look at -->this thread<--. Terratec have been very uncooperative and unhelpful to us. Perhaps you can hassle them to provide us with the information that we need...
