    Not difficult at all, but it would slow down the startup process. So that's a bad idea, we just speeded up the mp start a bit during the passed months cause some peeps were complaining that startup takes way too long.

    It would be good to have it as an option though. Espacially if you are playing around with skins.

    I agree it doesn't make sense for all but it would help skinning.

    but that way you would either need to create a batchfile for every skin or one to delete all packedgfx files.
    mp could just check (when the option is selected) wich skin is being used and delete the right file.

    Oh come on, its one small batch file, your messing around with skins, I believe editing this 2 line batch file is the least of your concerns ;-)

    Just a thought :)

    Ah well, I think for some peeps it's just too hard to write some lines of batch code.
    So let's hope they can add
    Code:
    <section name="debug">
      <entry name="skincaching">no</entry>
    </section>
    to their MediaPortal.xml, which will take effect in the next SVN build. :roll:

    maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck? Preferable with as much disabled as possible also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything) maybe other programs competing for resouces?

    Greetings to all Denizens of the land of MediaPortal... It seems our Zap2XML/GraceNote access is broken again. I (as many others) have been using the latest NewZap2xml_6 and it has worked flawlessly. A few days ago it all died. I wonder if anyone is working a solution to save the masses. I am hoping the good citizen of past is...
