Hello, I'm so happy to have found IR Server Suite as its THE ONLY program that works correctly with my MCE remote besides Media Center. I'm trying to use your program but there is one thing I want to accomplish:

Sending commands to a nonactive window. I setup IRServer Suite and I setup a program in translator and set a key command to be sent when I pressed a remote button. However I can't figure out away to send commands to the window when its not active. I tried window messages but I don't know how to get the needed information for the program(s) I might use.

The second one, and I posted this in the suite announcement thread sorry, is that blasting is too fast, I can actually hit the same button on the physical remote too fast for the box to understand the commands, is there anyway I can lengthen the time between key presses blasted via IRSS?

The time between blasts can be adjusted. Assuming you're using Mediaportal RC1.0 / Tvserver, you can find this setting in TVserver Configuration. Find the Blaster plugin, on the first screen it has a button STB Setup. Here you can adjust blast delay.

Thanks for replying emphyrio. However I'm not using that I'm just purely using IR Server Suite I'm calling IR blaster (I was using translator) to blast IR codes from a command line.

Check the documentation on IRBlast, or just run the command line version from a command prompt and you'll see the command line parameters that are available.

You can add a delay to the blasting, this should help.

    Cheers,

The Documentation doesn't make mention of the speed command but the comanline did. I will try this feature out, thanks.

I tried the command and it doesn't work, no matter where you put it in the command chain irblast tries to execute it as a channel command.

    Code:
    C:\Program Files\IR Server Suite\IR Blast>irblast -host localhost -port 1 -speed
     8 -channel 1012

    IR Blast
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Command line IR blaster for IR Server Suite.
