One another point of view when doing rescan of channels from some satellite, and why not other protocols too.

When user has finally arranged and combined channel-list just like he/she want, for example deleting huge amount of unnecessary channells, sorting etc. I think there should be an option to only update channells currently visible in in epg, by not toucing sorting, or adding channells that user does not want:

    - Only update tuning details for channels currently marked visible in epg. That way it's easy enough to check if freq changes prevent some channells to to show.

Kindly, if this is revorked anyhow, cos it's in mantis, then why not doing a bit more..

    regards,

Yes, it is, since a long time. I've used it for some years and still use it. Only the client plugin was not successfully ported to MP2. One glitch is still existing in the server plugin, you need to trigger the search manually. Normally it should run automatic but this did not work, at least not for me... Even without automatic...
