(1) Rotating recordings. Either automatically, set by amount of HD space you want to keep free, or by explicitly telling MP to use XX.XXGB of space and no more, it will automatically delete old shows in favor of new recordings. This would necessitate the implementation of a "keep me" flag system, as well.
(2) If I tell MP to record every showing of a show on a channel, I usually end up with two-three extra copies of the show if it's on History since they tend to repeat the shows 2-3 times in a couple days period. There should be an optional toggle somewhere that tells MP to ignore the show if it has the exact same channel, show title, and description of one previously recorded.
