Compro Duel tuner Support "newbi" (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I have a compro t300 (analog/Digital) and a compro u3 (usb) TV tuner/capture card. can these be used together (record one watch another with mediaportal?) No matter what I try I can only do one at a time. If i Try to record with MediaPortal and watch with the Compro software (or visa versa) I can here sound stream from both cards. Any help greatly appreciated.

Do not use the manufacturers software at the same time as Mediaportal, as not necessary and may make your system unstable.
To watch and record using MP with two tuners, read around the hardware/installation areas of the forum for info.

First thing to do is to disable the Compro software from starting automatically when you start windows (Right click the Compro icons in the system tray and select exit, then remove them from the startup menu/folder).
Then have a look in Media Portal setup. Go to Television/Capture cards.
Both of your tuner cards should be there. If they aren't, it might be a problem with the U3 tuner (It's not on the list of officially supported cards).
If they are both there, click the first one and then click edit.
When the window pops up, select autotune. Do this for both cards.
Find the Priority portion of the Recordings tab and make sure both tuners are set to a different number.
Once they are both tuned, got to TV Channels and edit out any channels you don't want.
Run Media Portal and you should be able to record one show and watch another.
