Hi everybody.

I've got a problem with comskip:
I do know that comskip auto-skip does not work for now. But is there a possibility to skip it by hand?
comskip is configured and creates the .txt-files. But inside MP, when i watch a recorded show i can't skip the commercials by pressing a button (as said in the wiki it must be F7 or F8)..What am i doing wrong? Wrong keys?

Thx!

Autoskipping is working, but not in the first commercial block. (enable autoskipping in config).
I can manual skip with the "nex"t and "previous" chapter buttons (used for dvd) on my remote which have the same function as F7 and F8. So I think someting else is wrong. Do you have a multiseat setup, this doesn't support comskip yet.

Maybe comskip don't detect the commercials, you can check the comskip logfile.
Near the end of that logfile, you will find something like this.

If total commercial length = 0:00:00, then there are no commercials found, you can try another comskip.ini or change some settings in it.

It appears f7/f8 don't appear to work for recorded tv. The remote skip/previous buttons work. If you only have a keyboard you can map keys to the same actions in config

glenn 1990: Okay. my comskipfiles look that way. So comskip works fine i think.

jameson_uk: Is this a bug? Will it be fixxed soon? Is it allready in the tracker?

    :D

    Edit:

    How do i do this?

Edit2: It's like you said. I moved my recording to the "video"-folder. If i play it from there, i can use the comskip-skips with F7/F8.
    :(:(

Is this thread still being used.

I have had this problem for a long time now (maybe a year). Auto skipping works fine.
    F7-F8 does not work.
I remember another thread running on this topic and did not voice up at the time as there was already a mantis.

What is strange is if I exit fullscreen mode, F7 and F8 do work. Just not in fullscreen. (eg. Works from home screen and main tvclient section)
I tried editing the configuration in Mediaportal Configuration to include F7 and F8 in Fullscreen TVs and Full Screen Video, mapping them to ACTION_NEXT_CHAPTER and ACTION_PREVIOUS_CHAPTER. This also has not worked.

EDIT: OK, I just read my own logs (doh! should have done that before posting). It seems that F7 and F8 are already mapped to ACTION_NEXT_CHANNEL (etc) which is fine when watching live TV. Whilst watching recorded tv the buttons used to do ad skipping instead.
I have removed the channel changing ones as I don't use them and mapped the keys as mentioned previously it now satisfies my needs. I do remember that the buttons used to change behaviour from live tv to recorded tv though. Hope this helps others...

    OS: Win 7 Sp1
MP: 1.2.0 Beta (issue has been around a while. Wish I had noted it down)
PS This is a single seat installation.

Debug Logs are attached if it helps.

    Regards.

Add Note: Loving Mediaportal as always..... Also really like the new default Skin...
