I upgraded from a SVN of RC2 to RC3 and found that all directories in Music,Videos and Pictures are lost from the config. My Keys plugin is disabled during upgrade too. Maybe something else is lost, just strating using the RC3...

    Hi,
You should really try a clean install of RC3 & since you're on vista it can be the correct thing to do...
btw, you should attach logs so we can see whats wrong..

    Regards

Will do, but this will be quite annoying to put again in place all the settings...

I was not aware that I have some install logs, I will review this today when I will be back home and attach them.

I had the same issue, must be because of the new installer :)

Many things now get installed to a different directory: c:\Appdata\Team mediaportal or something like that. Try copying over your database and some of the other files you find in here from your original location. Worked for me.

    Hi,
Vista has a own "allowed to write to folder" & it's placed in %ProgramData%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal = C:\Users\All Users\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal, in XP this was in MP installation folder(MP root). So with a old installation all those files are in MP root folder & not in the one MP on vista points to. A clean install will solve this issues & others you may experience because of this....

    Regards
    Roy
