    Feature: backup/restore tv-channels​

    additional Preparations needed:
    • installed Media Portal 0.2 RC4 with latest SVN-snapshot
    • TV channels setup done
    • create a backup of the database folder in the MediaPortal directory

    your hardware specification will be added automatically to your reply, please add following infromations:

    SVN-Snapshot: date of the SVN-Snapshot you use for testing

    1. Start MediaPortal setup and open the tv-channels list
    2. backup all tv-channels attach exported xml file to your reply (rename to export1.xml)
    result:
    -----backup | worked | got an error -> see note |
    -----notes:
    3. clear all tv-channels
    4. restore the tv-channels with the exported xml file
    result:
    -----restore | worked | got an error -> see note |
    -----notes:
    5. check imported tv-channels
    result:
    -----tv-channels | all channels imported | some channels were listed twice | channels missing|
    -----tuning information of channels are | correct | completely missing | incomplete |
    -----notes:
    6. backup all tv-channels attach exported xml file to your reply (rename to export2.xml)
    7. use the MPTestTool (Step2) to export all logs and attach them to your reply.

    :::::::::Restoring Backup:::::::::
    1. open your MediaPortal directory
    2. delete your database folder
    3. move the backup of your database folder to the MediaPortal dircetory
    4. you have now restored your database
