I've been having problems with my scheduled recordings. When i set a recording for 8:00pm to 9:00pm and then a second schedule for 9:00pm to 10:00pm, they show up as conflicting. Doesnt matter if the second recording is on the same or a different channel, conflicts either way. It happens on both my analog tuner as well as my ATSC card.

I am using the latest SVN and have been having this problem for at least a couple weeks.

Any ideas??

It happens because of the pre and post recording time options.
If you have it set to 1 min each, your recordings will be scheduled from 7:59pm to 9:01pm and 8:59pm to 10:01pm which now overlap.

I hope that a feature can be implemented in MP where it could check for this type of conflict and automatically overide the pre and post options.

Well i thought it was that aswell, but if i set them to 0, it still conflicts. Also scheduled recordings that do take place seem to record 2 files. One which is the full program and one which is 0:00 minutes long. Like i said in my first post, this has only been a problem for a few weeks, but i can't narrow it down more than that.

thanx

It sounds a bit like a problem I've had for some time. I use two TV-cards, and I experienced similar problems when I was recording two consecutive recordings on one channel, and another recording on another channel. I got the 0:00 files, sometimes even 3, 4 og 5 0:00 files. I can't seem to remember having this problem lately, but i could check in on it soon.

I aslo reported another conflict-issue in another thread https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/showthread.php?t=10962 Could the appearance of your problem be related to the changes made in response to this bug?

Also, there is a plugin called my paddings which is supposed to handle the paddings and remove overlapping paddings, but so far I have not gotten it to work.

I get those 0:00 files as well. However they only appear for certain recordings.

Even with 0 padding time the end and start times are the same and could still show as a conflict.
Do the programs still record if shown as a conflict?

Also check the priorities of your cards. I think that if they are both the same, MP could try to use one card for both the recordings.

I just started getting this issue last night. I don't understand, I don't have any pre- or post-recording padding, it's set to zero!

I used to have conflicts that showed but still recorded, and now they won't even record.

    i have only one tuner

Theoretically it could still show as a conflict because the end time of the first recording and the start of the second have the same time.

Which version are you using at the moment ?
I haven't had this problem for a while.

Mine is the latest stable (or almost stable) version on the main site, I think 2.1.1.0 or something?

It's very odd, I have it to record at 6:00-6:30, then 6:30-7:00 and one of them always never records.

This is a know bug. You must install mp 0.2.2 or later.
when done start configuration / televison / recordings and check
Ignore pre / post post offset for back to back recordings.
